Scope of Work: Build rock retaining walls along the path down to the lake, build wood railing along pathway down to the lake, Install Mortared Slate Patio, Build and Install Wrought Iron railing around patio, repair irrigation, install new lawn.
This was a beautiful site to work on as it overlooked the lake of Lake Oswego. While the views were stunning the terrain was treacherous. All the boulders for the retaining walls had to be brought down the path by hand. Needless to say this took much time. After the walls were built we poured the "rat-slab" for the patio.
We then started the process of cutting and fitting the Iron Mt. Slate to be mortared in. At the same time the outdoor lighting went in with the light post allowing for evening entertaining on the patio
The next challenge was building and installing the wrought iron rail around the patio. This was difficult because there was no straight lines to work from.
The client remarks: We are so happy with our new space. It seems like we added on to our home because we spend so much time on our new patio. We have many visitors stop by in the summer to enjoy the lake. I feel much better having the walls and railing in place going down to the lake, it is much safer. Thanks again for your hard work; I know it was not an easy site to work on.
