Insect control is highly important to maintaining a healthy and thriving landscape environment. Insects are a large cause of many plant diseases and will often times consume the entire plant and much of its surroundings. Many insects such as the European Crane Fly feed on the under layers of the lawn and can completely kill off an entire lawn at an alarming rate. These insects feed on the root system in the winter seasons, often times making it impossible for the grass to get enough water and nutrients come the following spring season.

New lawns and growth are especially suseptable to insect attacks due to the fact that their root systems are not yet developed. Cranefly lay their larvae in your grass system most commonly in the fall season. Whereas a small number of larvae will not cause a visibly noticeable amount of damage, larger numbers have the ability to completely destroy a lawn, making it impossible to salvage.
